MINISTER BETTIE J. "Lil Bettie" (COOPER) LOVETT, 56, of Memphis, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Methodist South Hospital. She was the wife of Elder Julian G. Lovett, office assistant for ILS, a 1967 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, first lady and assistant pastor of Peter's Rock Spiritual Church of the Apostolic Faith, where she served as Secretary, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, Women's Auxiliary and Choir Director. She was also a member of Mississippi and Western Tennessee District Council and Fellowship of P.A.W. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 3 at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue. In state, 10-10:55 a.m. Saturday with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 2993 Park Avenue, with interment in New Park Cemetery. Bishop Clifton Jones, officiating. She also leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Tonya Lovett-Odie (Minister Powell) of Millington, Pastor Wendi Lovett-Lemons (Thomas) of Riverdale, GA, and Juliette Lovett of Memphis; five sons, Julian G. Lovett, Jr., Corry Lovett (Reniseal), David Lovett, Emanuel Lovett and Mario Lovett (Mackaria), all of Memphis; four sisters; three brothers, 12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
