CLARENCE MILLER, JR., was born June 1, 1942 in
Memphis, TN to Clarence Miller Sr. and Odessa Holmes Miller. After
graduating from Booker T. Washington High in 1960. Clarence joined the
U.S. Army in 1964 where he was injured and received an honorable
discharge. On February 18, 1967, he joined Patricia A. Mayo in holy
matrimony at St. Thomas Catholic Church. From this union, he celebrated
the birth of his one and only child, his daughter, Karen Yvette Miller. As
employee of the Federal Government, he retired from the Defense Depot
after 28 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed television,
sporting events and bowling. Upon his retirement, he spent much of his
time helping others and playing with his grandsons who were his pride and
joy. On Saturday, November 19, 2005, the Lord called Clarence to heaven
ending his pain and suffering. He is survived by his father, Clarence
Miller, Sr; his wife, Patricia Mayo Miller; his daughter, Karen
Miller-Warwick; son-in-law, David Warwick; two grandsons, Joshua Warwick
and Aaron Warwick; his brothers, Jerome Miller, Michael Miller and Bernard
Miller; his sister, Crystal Henderson; his cousin, Joyce James; multiple
other cousins, a niece, a host of nephews and many friends and associates.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 with the funeral
services to follow at noon at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1169 Kerr
Ave., Memphis, TN. His body will be laid to rest at the West Tennessee
Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations or memorials may be sent
to the Kidney Foundation of West Tennessee in his name. R. S. Lewis Sons
