OBITUARIES

ARTHUR CORDELL LAND, 66, of Memphis, retired self-employed entrepreneur, passed away September 5, 2007. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, September 10 at M. J. Edwards Airways Chapel, and services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 11 at Testament of Hope Community Baptist Church. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Land, Lillian Land, and Lisa Land-Underwood; two sons, Marcus Land and Matthew Land; three sisters, Faye Lewis, Irma Moore, and Willie Yates; and nine grandchildren.
