DORIS LEE "PINK" SPRUILLE, 84 of Memphis, widower
of Quinton W. Spruille, retired employee of Susan and Sunshine Fashions,
alumnus of Booker T. Washington class of 1941, died on Wednesday,
September 26, 2007 at Wesley Highland Manor. Visitation will be held on
Monday, October 1 from 5-7 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647
Carnes Avenue. She will lie in state on Tuesday, October 2 from 10-10:55
a.m. at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 N. Bellevue Blvd.,
where she was a member of the Deaconess Board and Ruth Circle with
funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Historic Elmwood
Cemetery, 824 So. Dudley. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter
and son-in-law, Frances and Clarence Johnson of Memphis, TN; one
stepson, Maurice Spruille of Miami, FL; one sister, Elizabeth Rodgers of
Oxford, MS; three grandchildren, Angela Johnson, Allison Johnson Fouche
and Clarence Johnson III; two great-grandchildren, Christian Johnson and
Ava Fouche; four step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and
