EDWIN W. JEFFERY, SR., 80, of Memphis, widower of
Beatrice Cox Jeffery, retired employee of Interstate Blood Bank, alumnus
of Booker T. Washington High School, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2007
at St. Francis Nursing Home. Visitation will be held n Monday, September
10, 2007 from 9:30 am-10:55 am at Harris Memorial CME Church, 1572 So.
Lauderdale where he was Chairman of the Steward Board with Funeral
Ceremony at 11 am. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery-Midtown -
1661 Elvis Presley Blvd. Reverend Alvin Campbell officiating. He leaves
to cherish his memories: two sons, Edwin W. "Roscoe" Jeffery, Jr. (Cora)
and Ronald C. Jeffery both of Memphis, TN, four daughters, Beverly
Jeffery McVay of Memphis, TN, Aurelia Gray (Charlie) of Dover, DE,
Patricia Jeffery Herron (Michael) of Memphis, TN and Airienne D. Jeffery
of Upper Marlboro, MD. Two sons preceded him in death, Austin McCoy, Jr.
and Wendell Jeffery. He also leaves to mourn his passing, fourteen
grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and host of other relatives and
