Jodene Keaton Stroud,
83, formerly of Memphis, passed away March 17, 2007 in Los Angeles,
CA. Memorial Services were held March 24, at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah Witnesses in Los Angeles. She was born in Indianola, MS to
the late Ruby Keaton Israel and Joseph Stockett Jr. She attended
Booker T. Washington High School where she met and later married the
late Archie Stroud. She became a skilled seamstress and tailor then
decided to start her own business "Stroud's Interiors" in Chicago,
IL and then in Los Angeles. She spent much of her time serving
Jehovah God in the pioneer service where she helped many to gain a
true and accurate knowledge of the Bible. She leaves to mourn her
passing, two sons, Robert Earl Stroud of Los Angeles, CA, and Archie
Stroud Jr., of Colton, CA; one daughter, Sherry Justin Smith, of
Southaven, MS; two brothers, Charlie Israel and Harold J. Israel,
both of Memphis, TN; one sister, Gloria J. Chester of Chicago, (one
sister, Ruthie Alexander, preceded her in death), six grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
