Leona Jones Netters  1946

LEONA JONES NETTERS, wife of Dr. James L. Netters, Senior Pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Westwood, died Wednesday, October 12 at her home. She was 78. Besides her husband of 58 years, Mrs. Netters leaves three children, Edwinta Netters, Min. James Jr. (Linda) and Chandra Taylor (Arthur); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, on brother, Mr. L.S. Jones of Memphis, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Netters will lie in state on Sunday evening, October 16 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 620 Parkrose Avenue and again on Monday morning, October 17 from 10 - 11:55 a.m. The celebration of life will begin at 12 noon with burial at New Park Cemetery South. R.S.
