SARA REED DIXON, 91, loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and loving friend to many passed away
Friday, December 28, 2007 at her home. Visitation from 6:30-8 p.m.
Thursday, January 10 at Harrison’s Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes
Avenue, with Zeta Special Services from 6-6:30 p.m. She will lie in
state on Friday, January 11 from 10-11:55 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah CME Church,
2490 Park Avenue, with Funeral Ceremony at 12 Noon. Interment to follow
in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd. She was
a retired educator of Memphis City Schools of 41 years, a Life Member of
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Alpha Eta Zeta Chapter and a charter member of
the B. R. Danner Club-Mt. Pisgah. She was an alumna of Booker T.
Washington, Lemoyne College and Tennessee State University. She is
survived by her loving husband, Warren Dixon; daughter, Delois Dixon
Graham and her husband, Thomas H. Graham; two granddaughters, Angelique
C. Graham of Columbia, MD and Rosalind Graham-Smith (Jewell) of Memphis;
two great-grand-children, Rianna and Jewell, and a host of other
relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to St. Jude
