SHIRLEY JO MORRIS, 64, of Memphis, died Saturday,
December 31, 2005 at Methodist University Hospital. Visitation will be
from 4-7 Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Services will be
noon Friday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on S. Lauderdale, where she was
a member. Burial in New Park Cemetery. A graduate of class 1960 at
Booker T. Washington; she attended Draughons Business College. She
retired in 1999 from General Electric Memphis Lamp Plant. She was
preceded in death by her mother and father, Joe and Jessie Morris; and a
brother, Raymond Morris. She leaves three sisters, Paralee Wheeler,
Dorothy Morris, and June Morris; four brothers, Joseph (Mary) Morris,
Jr., William (Alma) Morris, Lester (Emily) Morris, all of Memphis, and
Vernon (LaVern) Morris of Chicago, IL; one uncle, Alonzo Jackson of
Gary, IN; ten nephews, nine nieces, and a host of great nephews, nieces,
cousins, and special friends, Lorna, Paula, Jessyka, and Lauryn, with
