THOMAS JAMES "T.J." SUGGS,
70, of Memphis, retired mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service,
departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the V.A. Hospital. He was
a member of Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1954. Graveside
services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 17 in West Tennessee Veterans
Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Viola
Suggs, and his older brother, Emmett Suggs, Jr. He leaves to cherish his
memory, his daughter, Toliya Adams Smith; sister, Janice A. Suggs;
brother, William Martin Suggs; four grandchildren, all of Memphis; and
other devoted relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that memorial contributions be made to LeMoyne Owen College at
807 Walker Ave., Memphis, TN 38126 or the American Cancer Society. M. J.
