OBITUARIES

VERNIA "Bonnie" CATHEY, 58, of Memphis, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Visitation will be from 7:30-9 p.m. Friday with services at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10 at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home with burial at 9 a.m. Monday in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School Class of '64. Mrs. Cathey, the wife of Ben Cathey III, also leaves a daughter, Vundra Boone; a son, Lewis Lee Scott, Jr.; two brothers, Darrell L. Hunter and Ronald Van Hunter; two aunts, Verna Mae Lemon and Anita Thomas, and a god sister, Ann Banks, all of Memphis, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
