VERTICE ALLEN JONES, 59, of Jacksonville, AR, formerly of Memphis, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Jones, the wife of George Jones, Sr. was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended Memphis State University. She was employed as a manager with EEO, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives Division, a member of the Federal Employees Women's Association, Association for the Improvement of Minorities, Women's Managers Association, Front Line Employees Committee and the Red Hat Society. She is also survived by a son, George Jones, Jr. (Laura) of North Little Rock, AR; two daughters, Lorna Jones of Little Rock and Robbyn Jones of Jacksonville, AR; two brothers, James Allen of Memphis and Donald Allen of Akron, OH; a sister, Aubra Anderson of Memphis; three grandchildren, Jordan, Rian and Sydnie; two aunts, an uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Sunday, November 20 at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue. In state, 9-9:55 a.m. Monday at McAlmont Church of Christ, 1824 E. 46th Street, North Little Rock, where she was a member, with the funeral ceremony at 10 a.m., Brother Loyd Harris, officiating.
