WALLACE WILBURN, JR., 74, of Memphis, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 17 at Greater White Stone M.B.C, where he was a member. Services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at the church, Pastor Joseph McGhee officiating. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery. He was choir director at Greater White Stone M.B.C, trustee, a Memphis City schoolteacher for 44 years, a 56 year member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., charter member of Southside Boys and Girls Club, and served in the military police for the United States Army. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1949, from Lemoyne Owen College, and from Tennessee State University. He leaves one sister, Mary Ethel Collins, and one brother, Henry Wilburn, both of Memphis; his caregiver, a niece, Irelia Calloway, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
